About Us

From the sun-soaked shores of Barbados, where the air is filled with the scent of sizzling spices and fresh Scotch Bonnet peppers, comes a family tradition rooted in bold flavors and rich history.

It all started in a little kitchen on Deacons Road, St. Michael, where my Great Grandmother, “Ma Downes,” and Grandmother, “Mrs. Millah,” worked their magic. Using Scotch Bonnet peppers and a secret blend of spices, they created a pepper sauce so fiery and flavorful that it became a staple in homes across the island.

But it was my grandfather, Luther Miller, who took things to the next level. Seeing the potential of our family recipe, he turned it into Windmill Hot Pepper Sauce—a brand that didn’t just stay local but made its way into kitchens around the world.

Growing up, entrepreneurship was just part of life for me. Summers were spent at the factory, soaking in the sights, smells, and lessons of the family business. But it wasn’t until years later—as a mother of five and living far from home—that I truly felt the pull of my roots.

Missing the bold Caribbean flavors that I grew up with, I searched for seasonings that lived up to my standards. When nothing quite hit the mark, I called my Uncle Peter, dusted off the family recipes, and reignited a dream.

In 2022, DNA Flavor was born—not just as a brand, but to bring the soulful essence of Barbados to kitchens everywhere. Built on tradition, legacy, and a belief in the power of manifestation, DNA Flavor is more than just sauces and seasonings—it’s a taste of home,
a connection to my
heritage, and a celebration
of flavor in its purest form.

Every bottle is packed with the heat of Scotch Bonnets, the depth of hand-ground spices, and generations of love. It’s not just about adding flavor—it’s about experiencing a legacy.
